Clear terms for a useful service.

Agreement

TickLane is provided by Matthew Mortimer, trading as TickLane. By creating an account, starting a trial, buying a plan or continuing to use TickLane, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice.

You must be at least 18 years old or otherwise able to form a binding contract. If you use TickLane for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Accounts and guest workspaces

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

TickLane may let you begin in a local or anonymous workspace. Protecting that workspace with an account is necessary for reliable recovery and use on other devices. You are responsible for exporting anything you need before clearing browser data or deleting an unprotected workspace.

Plans, trials and payment

Current features and prices are shown on the Pricing page. A free plan may be available without payment. TickLane Pro currently includes a 14-day trial that does not require a payment card and does not automatically convert into a paid plan.

Paid subscriptions renew monthly or annually according to the option shown at checkout. Paddle provides checkout and subscription administration. The final currency, taxes, renewal date and seller information shown during checkout form part of your purchase.

We may change future prices or plan contents. Existing paid periods will not be repriced retrospectively. Where a price change affects renewal, we will give reasonable notice and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid subscription through Plan and Billing in TickLane. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until then unless checkout terms or law require otherwise.

TickLane's Cancellation and Refund Policy includes a full refund within 14 days of the first payment. UK consumers may also have statutory cancellation and service remedies. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact matthewjmortimer11@gmail.com for cancellation or refund help.

Connected services and AI features

Optional integrations, including Gmail, Slack, Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar, operate only when you connect or invoke them. You must have permission to process any information you submit. Third-party services remain subject to their own terms, availability and account controls.

You can authorize a compatible AI assistant or automation client to read and change TickLane data on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing the client, its requested access and the instructions you give it. You can revoke its TickLane access from Account > Sources. TickLane may limit, suspend or revoke integration access to protect accounts or the service.

AI-generated transcriptions, summaries and suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. Review them before relying on them. TickLane is a productivity service, not legal, medical, financial or emergency advice.

Acceptable use

You must not use TickLane to break the law, infringe another person's rights, distribute malware, gain unauthorised access, overload the service, bypass limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the service or process information you have no right to use.

You retain ownership of content you add. You give TickLane a limited permission to host, process, transmit and display that content solely as needed to provide, protect and improve the service.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep TickLane dependable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change as the service develops. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or serious breach of these terms.

You can export your workspace from Account settings. You should maintain any separate records that are essential to your work.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, TickLane is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss caused by third-party services or by failing to review AI-generated output. For paid use, TickLane's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for TickLane during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. For free use, liability is limited to GBP 100.

Ending an account

You can delete your account from Account settings. A renewable paid subscription must be cancelled first so deletion cannot leave future charges attached to an inaccessible account. We may close an account for serious or repeated breach, unlawful use, security risk or where the service is discontinued. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to export data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law where you live.
